Strange Bedfellows

Michael A. Hoffman has posted the following on his Twitter account:

The 6400 word essay is an exceedingly fawning tribute to Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.  Upon reading it, one has no reason to disagree with or question the veracity of Hoffman's description of the warm and collegial embrace he received from Farrakhan and the NOI whilst their guest during their *Saviour's Day* weekend.  We can likewise commend the NOI for showing such gracious hospitality to the Christian-identifying Hoffman, and, as Hoffman states rest assured that I bore witness throughout my time with the Nation of Islam to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray Hoffman's seed of faith bears much fruit within Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.

Much of Hoffman's essay is devoted to championing Minister Louis Farrakhan and the NOI over what we can call *America's mainstream Christianity,* for the NOI is receptive to Hoffman's teaching on the Talmud, Zionism, ususry, etc., while *America's mainstream Christianity* is not.  We can certainly agree with Hoffman's rather dim view of *America's mainstream Christianity,* a generally self-proclaimed Christianity that wholeheartedly accepts America's Satanic warmongering, and demonstrates little practice or understanding of Jesus' gospel, particularly as recorded in Matthew chapters 5 through 7.

Hoffman makes much of the refusal of *America's mainstream Christianity* to condemn the Talmud's demonic characterization of our Lord Jesus Christ, and for making common bed with unGodly Zionism.  No earnest contender for the faith which was once delivered to the saints can fault Hoffman for this rebuke of *America's mainstream Christianity.*

However, in falling to the charms of Minister Louis Farrakhan's and the NOI's embrace, Hoffman, an admittedly distinguished scholar who has been regrettably cast to the fringe by *America's mainstream Christianity,* may have been too willing to let slide the NOI's slander of Jesus (not to mention some of their other rather *odd* doctrines, some few of their many which can be found here):

This is certainly not our Lord Jesus Christ.  Minister Louis Farrakhan may not have our Lord Jesus Christ in Hell boiling in excrement (as does the Talmud), but he is unquestionably preaching *another Jesus.*

One may ask what is the harm, in seeking to break bread with the lost, if Michael A. Hoffman swallows the camel of Minister Louis Farrakhan's *my Jesus?*

The danger in Hoffman's glossing over the identity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and lauding the Nation of Islam's path for black America (as Hoffman does in his 6400 word essay) is it encourages Minister Louis Farrakhan and the NOI in remaining comfortable in the one they claim as *their Jesus.*

However pious and however many good works the Nation of Islam register, none of it has any lasting eternal value.  The Nation of Islam's only escape from the here-and-now into eternal salvation awaits not in a *Mother Plane,* but in the saving grace of the True Lord Jesus Christ.  And that is true for all, black, white, semite, LGBTQ, whomever.  There is no *invincible ignorance* which grants a Get Out Of Jesus Free card.  There is only one way to eternal salvation, and the True Jesus is that only Way.

If Hoffman delivered this gospel in private (as he did not in his public *Saviour's Day* address), then may the God of our Lord Jesus Christ bless his labor, and we say well done, thou good and faithful servant, but otherwise. . .well, what have we, other than a form of John 12:42:43?
